Stay-At-Home Dad Creates ‘GoFundMe’ Page In An Attempt To Leave The House & Enjoy A Halloween Weekend Getaway With Friends


A father is making plenty of heads turn after he launched his own GoFundMe page because he claims he needs a break from his daily routine which is beyond hectic.

Meet Daniel Lawson, a dad who has two beautiful daughters. While everything appeared to be going well for the family before the pandemic, things drastically changed for Daniel soon. And that’s when he realized that he would have to stay back home and single-handedly take care of his kids, while his wife was away for work.

The couple knew that only one of them would be able to go out and work as they couldn’t leave the kids home alone. Volunteering to do the task, the father of two reveals how things weren’t as easygoing as he had imagined.

“I had to work hard and support my wife because she was a key worker when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. I stayed home for two years, doing all house chores while she worked hard doing her duties,” Daniel explained.

Now, this stay-at-home father says that he needs a break and with Halloween coming soon, there’s no better way to celebrate the occasion than with a little boozy getaway with his friends.

“This will be my first getaway in more than two years. I want to splash out with my friends because I believe I deserve it,” the dad from North Lincolnshire explained.

His daughters are aged one and five and Daniel says he’s sacrificed a lot for their sake. From preparing family meals and cleaning to making sure that his kids get the upbringing they deserve- it’s been a tough journey for obvious reasons.

But now, the dad claims he needs a break or rather deserves one. And he’s pulling out all the stops to do just that and more with this GoFundMe page.
