A mother has issued an urgent warning after both her kids contracted coronavirus at the same time while playing outside.
Bettina Rowley, from Munich, Germany, shared a picture of her kids, Fred and Charlotte, on Facebook that shows the kids in their hospital beds.
Bettina warned parents not to let their kids play in the park or outside after her children contracted the deadly virus and were forced to be isolated in the hospital.
Bettina revealed her healthy kids became severely ill within hours after contracting the virus while playing outside with others.
She wrote: “This is not just a cold. Don’t say you are not afraid of getting it, you really don’t know what you are dealing with.”
“If this is what happens to healthy kids that meant to “not get very sick” I hate to think of those with preconditions.”
She urged everyone to take the virus seriously and stop going out and letting your kids play outside as it is too dangerous.
She said she is sharing her story with hopes it will make people understand the importance of staying home.
She told that both her kids fell ill at the same time and had a high temperature with a dry cough.
When they called a pediatrician, the doctor came in full protection gear to test them and they had to wait for 48 hours before her kids tested positive for coronavirus.
She said: “Our kids have been symptom-free and healthy up to the minute they got so unwell. We are now in isolation in hospital and the kids aren’t well.”
She urged everyone not to take the virus as a joke and thanked the hospital staff for looking after them.
Bettina’s children are still recovering at the home.
