Stranger Stepped In To Fulfill A Little Boy’s Wish After He Was Diagnosed With Cancer

An 8-year-old boy was diagnosed with cancer while he was on a vacation in Utah.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Perryn Miller wanted to be with his dog.

Perryn, from Wilmington, went to Utah to celebrate Christmas with his mother, father, and his younger brother.

Perryn started experiencing headaches days before Christmas. The family was left shocked when Perryn was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme.

Just two days before Christmas, Perryn had emergency surgery.

Then, Perryn expressed his desire to be with his 8-month-old German shepherd, Frank.

When Perryn’s story went viral online, a former truck driver stepped in to help.

Former truck driver Bob Reynolds drove the dog from North Carolina to Utah. It was a 2,300-mile journey but Reynolds wanted to do it for the little boy.

“I never questioned why I was doing it or anything like that. I just knew something had to be done and that I could do it,” Reynolds told CBS News.

Perryn was delighted to see Frank as he said: “I felt really excited to see Frank. I just really like Frank and he’s a good dog,”

“One time when we were just laying down snuggling, a tear went down. He cried and I felt loved” Perryn added.

Perryn’s father, Jacob Miller said: “It’s been a whirlwind. It’s been hard. But it’s been overwhelmingly awesome at the same time.”

The family thanked Reynolds who said he would not mind coming again to bring Frank back home if they needed.
