Just a week ago or 4th July to be exact, Stranger Things Season 3 was released on Netflix.
The show has broken all records of streaming and has become the most watched show/movie of Netflix. The data is the proof.
Netflix considers one view only after a viewer has seen more than 70% of an episode or a film.
And according to Netflix’s post, 40.7 million users were watching the show while 18.2 million have already completed watching the season within four days of its release. And why not? The show keeps everyone glued to the screen.
Stranger Things, based on a group of kids in 1980s Indiana, shows a lot of supernatural happenings and is Netflix’s most culturally and critically acclaimed original series since its release in 2016.
The series has also helped to launch the careers of Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and Winona Ryder.
Twitter went crazy with the praises for the show, and its users were seen requesting to include more episodes per season or release seasons more frequently. Some tweets read astonishment over how 20 million people have still not completed watching it.
Just like when any show ends and people excitedly discuss the plot of its next season, Stranger Things is no different.
Fans are already coming up with theories and discussing what might happen next, the most popular one being the death of our beloved character, Jim Hopper.
This comes after Joyce Byers (played by Winona Ryder) was forced to explode the machine keeping the gate to the Upside Down open and Hopper being in it.
While it would be surreal for Hopper to survive such an explosion, a couple of Russians were seen referring to an unseen American. People are expecting that American to be Hopper.
This could be possible if Hopper managed to escape into the Upside Down and reappear through another portal in USSR where soviets caught him. What do you think?
