Street Artist Banksy Revealed Wife’s Disapproval Of Him Working From Home With New Artwork

Renowned artist Banksy shared his new artwork of a rat-infested washroom on his Instagram, saying that his wife has already had enough of him working from home.

The street artist drew his famous rats that appeared to have gone rogue in the washroom, disrupting everything from the toothpaste to the toilet paper.

One of the rats, probably the ringleader, is even using the toilet seat and the whole thing can be seen covered in his excrement.

Banksy wrote in the Instagram post’s caption in which he has shared the pictures: “My wife hates it when I work from home.”

If you see the photos closely, the reflection in the mirror shows a rat marking off the days from a calendar, counting his time in lockdown.

Some others can be seen messing with towel holders and light pulls.

One of the rats can even be seen on top of a washroom shelf, probably about to grab the soap bottle to sanitize the rest of the team wreaking havoc in the establishment.

Banksy’s fans are amazed at the fine work the artist has created despite the lockdown. One fan commented on his post: “Banksy wins Instagram.”

The new art from Banksy comes just two months after he created a masterpiece for his fans in Barton Hill in Bristol this February.

The owner of the house where Banksy created his public art was delighted to see the pleasant surprise on his birthday.

The homeowner, Edwin Simons, 67, said about the artwork: “I’m shocked, absolutely shocked.

“How do we protect it? That’s all there is in my mind. I don’t want it vandalized. We want to protect it. I will never take it down – if I can protect it.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do. We need someone with some knowledge about it.

“I’ve always been fascinated by Banksy. I think he’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant – and he’s more brilliant now! We never thought this would happen to us.

“I think it needs to be covered in anti-vandal paint. But I don’t know how you would protect the flowers. We need to get some advice.”

Unfortunately, the art was vandalized shortly after its completion, but Banksy didn’t care.

He shared an early sketch of the artwork on his Instagram and captioned it: “I’m kind of glad the piece in Barton Hill got vandalized. The initial sketch was a lot better.”
