A student at the University of Leeds left a heartbreaking suicide note in her bedroom before taking her own life.
20-year-old Melina Taylor was found dead by her flatmates. Melina was worried about her chemistry course, her student loan, and ‘felt utterly alone’.
Her father Dean Taylor told that his daughter isolated herself from friends and family before taking her own life.
Melina’s mother also took her own life over a decade ago when Melina was just nine.
She left a suicide note for her friends and family and wrote: “This is not about you, or how you will all feel. This is about me and how I am feeling.”
“I just want these feelings to end.”
Her father Mr. Taylor told that the suicide note tells that it was pre-planned and her thoughts are devastating.
He told that she wouldn’t turn up when he would arrange a meeting, ignored his phone calls and messages.
She would apologize and say she was struggling with uni work. He told that she convinced her family and friends that she was fine.
Mr. Taylor said: “Underneath she was in turmoil. It was the same with the rest of the family, and all her friends. No one was aware of how bad the situation had deteriorated, how low she was feeling.”
He told that she was worried about money and was struggling with her chemistry course.
Despite being surrounded by friends and family, she felt utterly alone and decided to end her life.
Mr. Taylor said: “And please, please, please, if you are ever feeling low, and we all do, share you thoughts and feelings with your loved ones, your family, your friends. You will never be considered a burden.”
