College assignments can be hectic but time to time it shows our creativity.
However, some students take it on another level and even take the risk to have a bad result. Luckily, there are still some smart and intelligent professors who appreciate and encourage their student’s sense of humor and don’t mind over student’s little bit of fun. Allison Garret recently proved to be one of the lucky ones. She shared her assignment on twitter and it went viral immediately for all the right reasons.
Alisson was assigned to write a movie review, and It should have been at least 500 words long. But, she only wrote one sentence. Whoever has seen Fight Club, will understand it better, the movie she chose to review, there can’t be a better way to write a review about it.
Her review reads:
“Fight Club
‘The first rule of fight club is: you do not talk about fight club.’
That’s it. That’s the essay”
Alisson’s professor decided to give her 100/100 points for the essay. We can’t deny that her assignment was quite witty and unconventional, and also appropriate for the film she reviewed.
The professor writes,
“I struggled over this grade for a long time. I finally decided you get a grade for a laugh and how relevant your review is for this particular movie.
Let me warn you: Do NOT try this kind of thing with other professors; they may not have my sense of humor.”
Definitely, she was not expecting this, Alison was quite shocked for getting these marks and going viral so quick, so she decided to use this ‘fame’ for a good cause. She requested people to help her friends’ mom who is fighting a rare form of cancer.
Twitter was impressed with the clever essay and people tweeted their thoughts on her post
