A law student, who is also a passionate hunter, has allegedly changed her surname after she started receiving death threats due to her controversial hobby.
23-year-old Johanna Clermont from France has been a target of animal lovers ever since she started sharing photos in which she is seen posing with the animals she kills.
Recently, the hunting influencer, who has over 300,000 supporters across different social media channels, has also become the poster girl for Zone 300, a video platform dubbed “the hunting Netflix.”
As the ‘proud huntress’ explained following a backlash and a series of death threats, “pi**ing people off” is her passion and she aims to “break down stereotypes” revolving around her hobby.
“If there are no negative reactions, then the campaign won’t have worked,” the student insisted.
According to the Telegraph, Clermont has also changed her surname after being flooded with threats at the French university where she is studying law.
Following the start of her hunting career back in 2014, Clermont has traveled to many places around the world, including Africa, and started sharing photos in which she poses with her kills.
“I like to play on this duality because that’s what pleases me. I alternate between the photos of pure hunting, of a warrior and more dolled up photos,” the young huntress previously said in an interview with L’Express.
“There is a happy medium, it’s quite touchy. I know. It may be surprising to see a young blonde like me. But I want to break the stereotypes.”
