Gone were the days when we used to sit collectively in front of the TV in one room to watch the family’s favorite show.
The continuous laughter and the ‘us time’ are amiss today.
Maybe this is why the netizens come up with requests to air the 90’s shows time and again. However, their requests seem to fall on deaf ears.
But the good news is on the way. Finally, it has been announced that the 90’s favorite Supermarket Sweep is coming back to sweep you off your feet.
The show in the U.K. was hosted by Dale Winton and aired from 1993 to 2001 on ITV with a small comeback in 2007.
Sadly, our favorite Dale Winton is no more present to host the show this time, and it is X-Factor star Rylan Clark-Neal who will be taking his place.
The game show consisted of three teams of two with a time limit of 60 seconds. The teams then had to answer questions and solve riddles in order to win more time.
Then the cumulative time determined for how long they could collect the items from the aisles in a mock supermarket. The team with the most valuable items won. It was mad fun to watch the teams running through the aisles, wasn’t it?
To confirm the news, it was Clark-Neal’s tweet reading that he was waiting to announce the return of the show and that it is time to go wild in the aisles finally. He added a GIF of one of the contestants running with a cart.
What’s more exciting is that you can even participate in the show and can do so by emailing gameshow-casting@thames.tv.
Whether you are friends, couple, colleagues or family, the producers demand you to be fun, dynamic and outgoing. That is all it takes folks, to star in this entertaining show.
