There are many ways to announce your pregnancy to the family, and it seems as though people are coming up with more creative ways to do it.
But, even though how this woman told her parents that they were going to be grandparents may not be that epic, how her mother reacted definitely is.
When Janel visited her parents in Vancouver, Washington, she brought a gift box and handed it to them as they sat down at the kitchen table.
As you can see in the video, her mother doesn’t really seem to be curious about what’s inside the box. In fact, she seems even a little confused when Janel asks her, “Are you excited?”
“When you don’t have a clue, how do you know what you’re excited about?” answers Janel’s mom.
When she couldn’t open the box, Janel’s dad gets his knife and rips open the package.

Inside, there was a big blue blanket folded up.
Still, however, Janel’s parents do not seem to have a clue. But, when Dad begins reading the gift tag attached to the blanket, they realize the unbelievable truth.
The gift tag said, “Dear Grandma and Grandpa, please hold this for me…”
and the rest is inaudible because Janel’s mother started to scream at the top of her lung.
They were going to be grandparents!
Sure, it takes a minute for Janel’s mother to realize this huge surprise, but once she does get why her daughter kept on asking for her to open the box, she completely loses her mind.

And while she’s screaming for 10 seconds, her husband just sits beside her, not knowing what to do!
Janel, the one filming the whole thing, probably didn’t expect this much emotion when she planned out this surprise.
I just can’t imagine how she would react once the baby actually comes out to the world!
