Needless to say, wedding anniversary is a very important occasion – celebrating and remembering that very moment when you said “I do”.
And, even though there are many great ideas for anniversary gifts, it still can be difficult for people to find the perfect one for their spouse.
Well, a man named Derrick who lives in Canada shows how it’s done in the video below.
It was a normal day for Derrick and his wife – both Derrick and her wife goes into the kitchen to prepare their breakfast.
Little did she know that her day is going to be turned upside down in just few minutes.

In the video that he shot with his phone, Derrick first tells his wife not to go to work. Not surprisingly, she seems very confused – why would he not let her go to work?
Her confusion continues when Derrick gives her €20, and tells her that she’ll be needing this for the day.
Then comes the big surprise – Derrick was taking her to Europe for their 5th wedding anniversary!
It turned out that Derrick had been working overtime and taking part-time jobs to make this trip happen.
She’s still in shock and disbelief, especially when Derrick tells her that she has exactly an hour-and-a-half to pack a bag.
“Are you serious? Do you promise?” asks Derrick’s wife again and again, since she just can’t believe what he told her.
Then, Derrick assures her that it’s true. He says, “Why do you think I’ve been working like bolt-loads of overtime?”

He also tells her that he had already arranged everything – including contacting her boss to let him know about this surprise trip, and sorting out who will take care of their cats.
Now, all she had to do was pack her stuff and go!
As she finally realizes that he’s not joking, Derrick’s wife breaks down in tears.
What an incredible present!
The thought that he put into this is simply amazing.
