Suspect Accused Of Threatening To Harm His Family If He Was Turned In FINALLY Faces Charges From Capitol Hill Riots


A Capitol insurrectionist who has been a suspect of the January 6 riots is now facing charges for owning firearms during a riot.

He faces this charge because it outlaws the use of guns while a riot is going on.

The suspect, Guy Wesley Reffitt, resides in Texas and is has allegedly participated in the riot that occurred at the White House. He was arrested in January and his wife had reported him to the FBI.

After reporting him to the FBI, he had threatened to not only shoot her, but the whole family if they ever turned him in for going to the Capitol on the day that Congress tried to solidify President Joe Biden’s victory from the 2020 election.

He has been charged with several accounts such as obstructing an official proceeding, entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, alongside the charge of the obstruction of justice as he hinders the communication by either physical force or even the threat of physical force.

Although he faces these charges, he has pleaded not guilty for these. He has been charged with another account for charging a firearm at the Capitol. The indictment states that Reffitt “without lawful authority to do so, and during and in relation to the offense, did use and carry a deadly and dangerous weapon and firearm, that is, a semi-automatic handgun”.

There is video footage of Mr Reffitt being at the Capitol on that day, and it has been used as evidence of his accounts.point 203 |

In a court document, the argument delves deeper and Reffitt allegedly admitted that he had his gun at the moment.point 94 | He uses the defensive method to argue that it was his “constitutional right to do so and take over the Congress”.point 199 | 1

There have been over 450 people that have been arrested in connections with the White House riot that occurred on January 6. As time passes, there are still more accounts that officials are looking into.

Prosecutors are also trying to bring conspiracy charges against extremist organizations that identify as right-winged such as The Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers, and the Three Percenter Militia. Their members have been accused of coordinating a plan in order to invade the House before the riot had started.
