A swimming coach from Russia has gone viral after a recording revealed she resorts to brutal lessons to ‘cure’ babies of their disabilities.
Elena Rodionova, also known as the ‘exorcist’ swimming coach, was slammed for what many believe to be torturing of the babies in order to ‘cure’ them.
In horrifying photos, Elena is seen tossing the babies into the water before spinning them around and drowning them as a part of the pool gymnastics sessions.
While other coaches believe Elena’s practices should be banned because they can cause serious trauma, parents of the babies claim the controversial coach helped them heal their children.
“She taught my child a great deal but I never argue with her,” one mother, Olga, claimed.
“My child with cerebral palsy began to walk. If you do not know Elena, you do not know what miracles she performs. I will be grateful to her for the rest of my life. All coaches need to work in this way and not just splash water.”
As the mother added, she believes that Elena “was sent by God” to help children in need through special “water gymnastics.”
“Our child swims independently, pulls up, refuses to leave the pool,” Olga said one and a half year after her baby started Elena’s treatment.
“Our child’s work with Elena became salvation, gave hope and eventually results that exceeded all our expectations.”
While some parents praised Elena’s achievements, other swimming coaches couldn’t disagree more.
“She believes that she makes the child stronger, more enduring,” Oksana Zarevina said.
“But when a child is two or three months old, they do not understand what is being done with them. They cannot be indignant or let parents know they don’t like the exercises. Growing up, the baby will fear of water.”
Another coach, Natalia Kostromina, called Elena’s techniques “scary” and said, “kids can be taught everything with the help of soft, gentle workouts that are comfortable.”
