Following the tragic death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven other people who were in the helicopter with the pair when it crashed in California, people have been paying tributes to the 41-year-old basketball star.
While Kobe never played for Philadelphia 76ers, he is popular with the city’s residents due to growing up and studying at a high school in the metropolis.
As the basketball player’s fans suggested Kobe should get his own statue next to Rocky’s statue in Philadelphia, Sylvester Stallone has agreed with the idea.
The confirmation followed after TMZ asked the Rambo actor if he believes that Kobe should get a statue of his own next to the Rocky statue in Philly.
Following Kobe’s death on January 26, millions of fans, prominent figures, and fellow sportsmen paid their tributes to the basketball legend.
“My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them,” wife Vanessa wrote in her post following days after the accident that cost nine people their lives.
“We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe – the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna – a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
“We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately.”
