A long line of victory parades took place in Afghanistan yesterday after the final US flight took off from Kabul airport’s runway.
Referring to the long loss of life over the years, the Taliban called it the death of freedom, adding how the recent desperate evacuation mission of Western forces was proof of their downfall. The victory was announced on Kabul airport’s runway as the main Taliban spokesperson sent out a chilling message to the world.
“The Western defeat is a big lesson for the world and its invaders,” he boldly mentioned.
Hundreds of coffins draped in flags belonging to the US, UK, France as well as the NATO symbol were paraded across town as a part of the mock funeral procession that celebrated the end of a 20 year-long war.
The last US flight filled with troops left yesterday at night, and that’s when so many Afghan Forces could be seen praying on the runway. It was a historical moment for the country that had been under Western invasion for the past 2 decades.
In the same way, so many individuals started waving flags representing the Taliban on the streets as loud cheer and fireworks filled the air, signaling the Taliban’s victory against the Western world.
In the same way, so many leaders belonging to the Taliban paraded through Kabul airport along with troops that were decked from head to toe in pure western gear.
But it was not all smiles for many others in Afghanistan, especially hundreds of Americans as well as British citizens who were forced to stay behind, despite the countries’ evacuation attempts.point 419 |
