Tattooing is an art, an art of expressing your views by inking your body.
There are plenty of people who are against and in favour of tattooing.
Recently, a group of British tattoo artists has come forward appealing that there must be strict laws in regards to who can pursue the profession.
It has been witnessed that young people have started practising face tattoos, which is known as job stopper in the industry.
Owing to the growing number of celebrities with their inked faces, there has been a steady growth in young people who are getting their faces and necks permanently inked.
Many credible tattoo artists have come forward to put an end to this culture. They have asked the government to raise the legal age of getting tattoos from 18 to 21. Their argument is that such tattoos often affect job opportunities.
The growing popularity of celebrities with face tattoos like Justin Bieber, Jesy Nelson, Jeremy Weeks, etc., have been encouraging these young people to get their faces inked.
Even the British Tattoo Artists Federation (BTAF) refer to such tattoos as the job stoppers as they affect the employment criteria of people.
BTAF spokesperson Lee Clements said over the past few years, and there had been a massive increase in the facial tattoos.
Clements further added there are no criteria to decide which part of the body should get inked; all they wanted is to increase the age limit to get a tattoo.
Such strict law will restrict young people from closing the avenues of their job opportunities via inking their faces.
Clement, who owns a tattoo studio in South Wales, also said that a majority of people get a tattoo in order to look good in their Instagram pictures. Such tradition has to come to an end, and people should embrace this art.
