Taylor Swift made history Friday morning with her latest Grammy nomination, becoming the first female artist to be nominated for Album of the Year seven times.
The nod went to her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, pushing her past the previous record-holder, Barbra Streisand, who held six nominations in this category.
Swift’s impressive Grammy track record includes four wins in Album of the Year: Fearless (2010), 1989 (2016), Folklore (2021), and Midnights (2024). With this latest recognition, Swift solidifies her position as one of the most honored artists in Grammy history.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrating the best recordings and artists from September 2023 to August 2024. Members of the Recording Academy, consisting of music professionals across the industry, will select the winners.
Swift’s nomination comes with tough competition in the Album of the Year category. The Grammys have favored her in the past, but the 2025 race will see her face off against notable projects from artists across genres, all vying for the top honor.
