Isaac and Nate are safety patrols at Coppergate Elementary School in Middleburg, Florida.
They have an important job to do every day, one they take very seriously.
However, neither of them had any idea that the job they undertook on a rain-hit stormy day would make their school, society, and people nationwide, so proud of their actions.
When the school was over, the boys went out in the heavy downpour to protect and take care of something that is very significant to almost every American.
The schoolboys are in charge of lowering the American flag after school. When a big rainstorm came into town, the safety patrols decided they would still complete their task.
They went out in the drenching rain, reverently and patiently began folding the flag.
Kim Miskowski, Coppergate Elementary School’s media specialist wrote on the school’s page that not only did the boys bring the flag down; they also stood in the rain and heavy wind and patiently completed the 13 folds.
Then Nate held the folded flag in a protective manner as the boys walked with honor and respect to retire it for the day.
Nate told FOX 30 that his parents served in the military and he and Isaac braved the rain because it was the most respectful thing to do.
This is really refreshing to see two young men demonstrating such patriotism towards their homeland, especially during the riotous time in American politics.
Kim said that kids were folding the American flag respectfully. They were humble and were doing the 13 folds.
The story was shared on Facebook by the school and since then it has been shared over 1400 times with a couple of thousands of likes. Hundreds of people have appreciated the boys for showing such respect towards the national flag.
These two kids symbolize what many Americans feel and think. The American flag is something to be cared for and cherished for and these two proved it with their modeling upstanding character.
