A teacher has been charged with raping an eighth-grade student after the boy’s mother found videos and pictures of them on his phone.
25-year-old Alexandria Allen, a middle school substitute teacher in Kentucky, was arrested by Georgetown police on Monday.
She was charged with three counts of third-degree rape with a bond set at $2,500.
According to reports, the boy was a former eighth-grade student at Spring Middle School, where the 25-year-old was working.
In an arrest warrant obtained by LEX18, the boy’s mother reported the teacher to police in October 2020 when she discovered naked photos and videos of Allen with her teenage son on his phone.
The educator was tutoring the teen at the time of the encounters.
When interviewed by police, the boy said that he had sexual encounters with Allen.
His mother said at that time: “I was disgusted because you’re supposed to be helping him, and she wasn’t helping him at all.”
According to the arrest warrant, the alleged rapes occurred between March and October at different places.
One of the incidents happened in Hilton Inn in Georgetown.
The 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges. She is expected to return to court for a preliminary hearing and she could face additional charges.
One person commented: “And this is who we trust with our children. Imagine all the indiscretions that don’t get caught. Homeschooling all the way and no looking back.”
Another wrote: “Why does this keep happening! As a mom with young children, I am so LIVID reading about this!!!”
A third added: “I don’t understand why you would go to college just to throw away your life for sex.”
