Alexandra Handwerger was teaching at the Hebrew Academy in Miami Beach when the school was informed that the mother-of-two sent nude photos of herself to her former students, who were over the age of 18.

The former students, who are now studying in Israel, said that they had received illicit pictures from Hendweger, who was the head of the English department, via Snapchat.

Hendwerger, a mother of two boys, was interrogated by bosses at the Academy about how the group got hold of her naked photos.

But a police report showed that the teacher said she couldn’t remember how her former students received the pictures.

The 47-year-old was fired on January 30 but no charges have been filed against her.

Hedwerger’s attorney, Jude Faccidomo, said that the allegations are baseless.

He told WSVN: “My client hasn’t seen any photographs. I haven’t seen any photographs, so I’m not in a position to comment on them.

“here’s no criminal allegations here. It’s curious that Miami Beach Police are investigating it. We certainly understand the need to, and again, we welcome it.”

“We take these allegations very seriously, and are troubled by how they have materialized. This issue was brought to the school’s attention through gossip and innuendo. The report itself references false emails and second hand sources,” he added.

“Unfortunately, it seems the salacious nature of the allegation has given way to favoring rumor over substance.”

Bosses at the academy had claimed that Handwerger was possibly involved with a student but denied the claims when confronted.

According to the incident report seen by Local 10, school administrators received an email which claimed how the teacher was sending inappropriate photos. It also contained a phone number of a school administrator in Israel.

Parents then received a letter which addressed the issue. It reads: “We received information that there is a video and possible photos of a former teacher that are inappropriate. It is our understanding that some graduates and current students may have received copies of the videos and/or photos.

“We are unaware of how our students received the videos/photos at this time, but have been and continue to conduct a thorough investigation regarding the entirety of this serious matter.”
