According to Beth Jones, Emma’s mother, Emma was an altruistic person, always thinking about others before herself. And even now when she is dead, she is helping people.
In December 2017, Emma’s family received a letter from a complete stranger, singing praises of Emma, which made Emma’s family incredibly proud of her. The letter was written by a woman who received three of Emma’s organs.
In December 2016, eight months before Emma’s accident, Emma had signed up to be an organ donor. Emma told her mother that if she would help anyone, she would do without thinking twice. And that she wouldn’t need her organs if she were dead.
Emma’s family was still coming to terms with her death and the letter by the stranger just multiplied the time of their recovery. The letter came from a young woman who had received Emma’s kidneys and pancreas.
The woman said that she was very sorry for what had happened to Emma, “but there is always something good attached to every bad situation,” read the letter.
“Without the operation, the woman would have spent her entire life in hospital and would have to take medicines for as long as she lived,” Said Emma’s mother.
Emma’s mother hasn’t been able to read the complete letter, it fills her with so much emotion and pride whenever she tries to.
Not only has she saved three live from her grave but she is also spreading positivity around. According to Emma’s mother, her friends have signed up to be organ donors too after following her example.
Even after her death, the kind of joy and love she is spreading is inspirational for others.
