A teen girl has been reunited with her favorite stuffed animal over 14 years after the toy mysteriously disappeared.

The unbelievable story was shared on Twitter by 51-year-old writer Susan Wise Bauer who explained how her daughter was reunited with the toy she had lost fourteen years ago.

The toy named Plurna was allegedly the Virginia-based girl’s favorite and it accompanied her wherever she went.

One day, however, the girl broke down into tears after realizing that Plurna had disappeared and that she would no longer be able to cuddle with it.

“Fourteen years ago, my four-year-old daughter lost her dearest stuffed animal friend ever. Plurna was gone. We all wept. For months,” Susan wrote.

“Today, my farm manager found Plurna in the woods wrapped in roots. We washed her and she is whole. I am speechless.”

Miraculously, Plurna was almost like brand-new after a long shower following 14 years in the woods.

The mother has also shared a series of pictures and admitted that her daughter refuses to leave Plurna’s side after the two have finally been reunited.

Soon enough, the bizarre story of the reunion went viral and viewers couldn’t help but comment on the incident.

“Plurna must have some good stories after fourteen years! This seems like a children’s book waiting to happen,” someone wrote.

“That’s not Plurna, that’s a changeling. Watch yourselves!” another one joked.

One person suggested: “What are the chances that these two were reunited after all those years??? I can’t believe that this is a just a coincidence, fate must have brought them back together!”

While no one can say for sure whether it’s fate or coincidence that brought the duo back together, one thing is certain – The girl won’t let Plurna out of her sight anymore!
