Having a good friend is not very common these days, considering how selfish the human race has become. But, when you have one you know, you are blessed.
They know everything, your needs, your desires, dreams, and passion. If you are sad, they know what can make you laugh; if you are stressed, they know how to cheer you up.
Some friends do not think a lot or plan out well in advance while they are buying birthday or Christmas gifts.
Unlike them, Tanner Wilson, a high school student from Norman put in a lot of time and effort for giving his friend a gift that he would always remember.Tanner was friends with Brandon Qualls since a long time, and they both attended the same school, Caddo Hills High School.
Qualls has been using a wheelchair for a long time, but he was having a hard time pushing himself everywhere using manual power. It got quite exhausting for him after some time and Tanner did not like seeing his friend struggle so much.
This was when he decided that his wheelchair needed an upgrade. Wilson started working part-time for 2 years and finally gathered enough money to buy an electric wheelchair for Brandon. He gifted him the wheelchair on 6th Feb.
According to Wilson, people are often thinking more about themselves and fail to pay attention to what others need. He just wanted Brandon to know that he was grateful for having such a good friend and felt like it was his duty to take care of his needs.
Seeing the motorized wheelchair, Qualls could not believe that Tanner actually did that for him and was filled with emotions, crying everywhere. Tanner was quite happy that his efforts had finally paid off and seeing Brandon happy was hundred percent worth the wait.
