A teenager has reportedly crashed his billionaire father’s multi-million hypercar before taking to social media to share his experience.
17-year-old Gage Gillean from Texas is a passionate YouTuber and the son of Tim Gillean, a billionaire and the founder of Cross Equities.
On Tuesday, the teenager reportedly took his father’s one-of-a-kind Pagani Huayra Roadster for a ride which resulted in a serious accident after Gage lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree.
After crashing the luxury hypercar belonging to his father’s expensive fleet of high-end vehicles, the 17-year-old took to social media to say that “sh** happens.”
“Wanna say thanks to my family, friends and fans for all the messages. Means a lot,” he wrote in his Instagram story.
“Sorry I can’t answer anyone but I see y’all txt … Sh** happens. Thanking God for a second chance at life. Crash could’ve left us with worse injuries or even death. Again, thank y’all for all the love and support.”
As the young YouTube star explained, he took the Pagani for a ride together with his friend Zach Walker, who is also a YouTuber.
After the back right tire reportedly gave up, Gage lost control of the vehicle and hit the curb, causing the car to fly into the air and crash into a nearby tree.
“I lost control. We hit the curb, we caught air, we went off the ground and flew into the tree. The doors flew off when we hit the tree. It was honestly the scariest thing of my life,” he explained.
Speaking of his father’s reaction to the accident, the teenager added:
“Obviously he’s mad upset. But I couldn’t really control anything. A car is replaceable, I’m not replaceable.”
Replaced!
