Four Teens Pushed A Senior For A Mile After His Mobility Scooter Broke Down


Four compassionate teens have gone viral after pushing a senior for over one mile after his electric mobility scooter broke down and left him stranded on his way home.

The act of kindness came to light soon after 14-year-old Jack Murphy, Kaden Rocha, Harley Donworth-Kent, and Finlay Hamilton decided to help 90-year-old Alan Stanyon who got stuck at the side of the road on his scooter.

According to the reports, the senior was just on his way home when the boys came across him and offered to sacrifice 30 minutes of their time to push him all the way to his home.

“Four lads from the school saw me pushing my scooter and came along and pushed it for me all the way home,” the pensioner explained.

“I was struggling and they offered to help and I was willing to let them. They even pushed it with me on it. I offered them all a fiver but they didn’t accept.”

Despite going out of their comfort zone to assist the elderly, the kids didn’t think much of their assistance and remained humble even after their story went viral.

“He was just so happy that we had come over to help. He said that the battery in his electric scooter had died. It took us about half an hour to push him home,” Jack said.

“It was the right thing to do to help him. If you see someone that needs help, it’s a natural thing to do,” Kaden added.

“We could see he was struggling and it was important to check to make sure he was ok. We dropped him off home and made sure he got inside ok.”
