It is quite a sad scene to watch a dog with an extreme skin disease trembling over the pile of rocks, almost that he looks invisible.
All his spirits were crushed when he was left alone suffering in pain on the streets of India.
Her fur was virtually invisible because of the mange parasites that turned her fur coat very hard and rough. The skin had crusted; stone-like patches which looked like scales on the body.
The mere dog was unable to help herself, and because of the weakness, she was too fearful of approaching a human being. The fear is evident as from her experience; people would likely be more harmful to her than doing any good.
The deserted dog had almost disguised as her environment and surrounding. She turned grey, looking exactly like the concrete ground where she was laying.
The best part is that the person who spotted the dog knew that an organization called Animal Aid Unlimited would be of help.
Animal Aid Unlimited, India has an age-old reputation of helping injured, abused, and neglected dogs. They have been working as a helping hand for these dogs and bring them back to good health.
The mange parasites found on the dog’s body had caused a condition known as crusting, and the pain and itchiness it brings is something that people cannot imagine.
Itching is just endless, and the pain never seems to fade away. Scaly patches were all over the dog’s head and neck, making the pain intolerable for her.
Animal Aid helped in giving the dog a new identity by curing her disease. They named her Shylo as she was shy and frightened the first time they met her. The transformation is almost unrecognizable.
To treat the skin, rescuers had to give her multiple baths so that the skin would heal quicker. The greyscales are now replaced with a golden and shining coat of fur, making her look like a completely different dog.
All thanks to the skilled and compassionate workers at Animal Aid Unlimited who were ready to treat and give Shylo a new life.
