Fury In The US As Texas Senate APPROVES Bill Allowing Handguns ‘Without License’


The Texas Senate has reportedly approved the bill which allowed state residents to carry handguns without a license.

Surprisingly, the news comes as a great shock to many concerned US citizens who felt firearms policies in the nation needed to be strengthened to avoid the rapidly shooting cases of shootings and killings that centered around gun violence, taking center stage in the country this past year.

On the other hand, keeping recent events in mind, just last week, at least 30 people tragically lost their lives in the state of New York alone.

At the back of all of this, more and more officials are calling for stricter measures for gun control. However, to many people’s surprise, Texas joins a number of other states as it appears to be going in the opposite direction when it comes to restrictions. Now, Texas is a part of the few that appear to be more interested in relaxing the gun laws.

The new bill which is called ‘HB 1927’ goes about allowing individuals to possess a gun without carrying any license in the state of Texas.

This was passed on the 23rd of May with a massive 17-13 vote victory in the state’s Senate, confirmed local media outlets.

The news comes right after a series of considerations as well as delibrations were carried out after receiving its very first green signal on May 5th by the Senate. Now, the bill is all set to make its way forward to Texas’ State Governor Greg Abbott. He is the final person who will decide upon whether or not he should sign.

Previously, Texas State Governor was reportedly heard mentioning how he has full intentions of approving the bill. “I fully support it and I personally believe that it will soon reach my desk, and we shall have the act of constitutional carry with us in Texas,” he added.
