Watch the amazing futuristic travel concept in the video below.
Ever since the airplanes were invented, people across the globe have been fighting over window seats.
But this is soon going to end because a British technology and research firm is about to introduce the futuristic air travel.
The Center for Process Innovation is creating planes without any windows. Instead, the entire upper hemisphere of the cabin will contain OLED touchscreens, giving all the passengers virtual window seats.
These futuristic planes will hopefully become a reality within the next 10 – 15 years.
The touch screens will be connected with cameras located on the exterior surface of the airplane. This will allow them to show a nearly realistic view of the outside world on the screens.
And if you don’t want to look outside, you can use the virtual windows as entertainment screens.
OLED technology – that is currently being used in computer monitors, mobile phones, tablets, and televisions – is an abbreviation for organic light-emitting diode.
OLED touchscreen technology comprises a film of organic compounds that project light when current is passed through them.
However, the company may utilize an even latest technology by the time the airplanes are actually manufactured.
With the wall being fitted with screens, passengers can just sit anywhere and don’t need to worry about missing the beautiful views surrounding them in the sky.
But as it’s with all the inventions, people have been criticizing the cool concept for a couple of reasons.
The most significant criticism is that the light from so many screens will likely cause discomfort to many of the passengers. Well, let’s wait and see if the firm does anything about this.
