The American reincarnation of The Office was first aired on March 24th, 2005.
It released 9 seasons with 201 episodes until its end on May 16th, 2013. It made a lot of fans and win over the hearts of millions all over the world. With such iconic characters like Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute, the romance between Pam and Jim, all became iconic. The funny situations in such an ordinary setting quickly turned The Office into a fan-favorite. Even after the show ended almost a decade ago, Netflix shared that in 2018, people who watched the show were 7.19% of all Netflix viewers. It became their most popular show for a while.
This year will be The Office’s 15th anniversary and just in time for that, Robb Pearlman wrote a children’s book.
The book is the perfect way to tell a completely new wave of fans to the series.
Illustrated by Melanie Demmer, the book puts the beloved characters in a new setting – elementary school and focuses on the challenges of Michael Scott, the line leader.
The synopsis of the book reads: “Michael Scott is Line Leader at Dunder Mifflin Elementary! It’s a very big job, but Michael is sure he can live up to the “World’s Best Line Leader” title printed on his water bottle.
There’s just one problem–Michael doesn’t know how to lead the line.
Filled with colorful, detailed illustrations and brimming with Easter eggs and nods to iconic moments from the show, this hilarious reimagining features a pint-sized cast.”
The book will be released on Oct. 6, 2020, but is available for preorder at $17.99. The main audience of this piece is children aged four to eight. However, it’s a must-read for every adult who loves The Office.
Some of the show’s most memorable moments can be found on every page, and there’s even a scavenger hunt to take part in while you’re flipping through.
