If your quarantine time is not going great (which would probably be the case), here is some good news for you.
Cary Elwes and Robin Wright of The Princess Bride reunited on Monday to make a special announcement for their fans.
The stars announced that the iconic masterpiece filmed in 1987 will be available for streaming on Disney+ in the coming month.
Elwes, 57, and Wright, 54, broke the news as they exchanged friendly remarks on a video call.
Their interesting conversation became viral as soon as it was shared by Disney+.
“Are you bored yet?” Elwes asked Wright.
“No!” she replied. “Are you?”
Elwes remarked: “Not even but if I was stuck in front of my TV I could think of some real fun things to watch like that Princess Bride movie we made together.”
Wright inquired: “Hmm is that on again?”
Elwes revealed the details, saying: “On Disney+ starting May 1.”
“Does that mean we’ll get to take a selfie with Mickey?” Wright exclaimed.
Elwes then replied by quoting the famous dialogue from the movie, “They better say ‘As you wish’ to that or I want no part in it!”
“Oh, my Westley!” Wright quipped as Elwes’ prompt response made her laugh.
Last September, Elwes scorned the idea of The Princess Bride remake when Sony CEO Tony Vinciquerra stated that “very famous people” were thinking about it.
The actor brilliantly transformed a famous dialogue from the same movie to convey his thoughts at the time too.
“There’s a shortage of perfect movies in this world,” he tweeted. “It would be a pity to damage this one.”
The statement referred to the scene when Wright, starring as Buttercup, was about to suicide, presuming that Westley (Elwes) was dead.
The moment she was on the brink to plunge a dagger into herself, Westley interrupted by saying, “There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world.
“It would be a pity to damage yours.”
Replaced!
