Remember the picture on the poster of the iconic film “Jaws”, yes the horrifying picture where there is a shark with its jaw open and its terrifying white teeth peeking out in the thirst of human blood.
Have you ever imagined, such a scene happening in front of your eyes? Oh, you haven’t? Well, you can imagine now how would you react if you see a shark right in front of you with its jaw wide open and ready to take a bit of you. I know you would freak out because any human would.
The incident happened in reality when a great white shark recreated the great iconic shot from the film “Jaws”, for sure it was just by accident but yes, it happened.
A 17 feet giant white shark, floating around in the water recreated the iconic scene with its sharp edgy teeth peeking out. Roger Kastel created the picture back in 1975 for the film in which the furious shark was on its way up to where there was a swimmer in the water.
Now the picture has been recreated and it was a relief for the photographer that there were no swimmers around in the water of the Guadalupe Island.
Euan Rannachan the 32 years shark photographer who took this shot was in the water and had locked himself inside a cage to take the pictures when he was working on the iconic shot he took.
The photographer who is also a trainer for underwater photography said he had been willing to take such a shot for the longest time but it never became possible. He says that it was all because of his crazy shark wrangler who made it possible.
He used tuna to attract the shark and kept playing with it for a while until the shark got really pissed, dived back into the water to come back up again and that is when he took the shot.
