The Electric Reliability Council of Texas collected the data of the fuel mix and got to know that wind has surpassed coal as an energy source which happened for the first time in Texas.
The wind-generated more than 22% of the electrical energy that was needed by Texas this year. The wind has become better than coal in providing electrical power in the city. The power supplied by the coal has just been declining since the last 5-6 years.
Texas is one of those states which consume the maximum amount of electricity. It needs double the electricity required by Florida, which is the closest state to Texas. Also, Texas is known for the production of wind energy for further electricity needs.
Recently, this year it was claimed that the newest form of energy would be provided by wind and solar power in the state for the next two years.
The climate change keeps happening now and then, but the wind energy will be providing the maximum amount of electricity in the country.
In the half-year since January to June 2019, the wind has produced electricity energy for 4.47 million homes in the state, and it will continue happening for the rest of the year.
In a way, it will leave a positive impact on the environment because it will reduce the air pollution that is caused by other electricity production things and it will make it much more effective.
Since the reports have been coming out, it seems that wind is surpassing the coal for creating electricity in the whole state. Texas is one of the biggest states in the U.S., and it is just amazing how the wind is making sufficient amount of electricity for the entire state.
