Our furry companions are the best thing on Earth.
They are cute, smart, loyal, and are an integral part of any family.
But saying farewell to them when it is time for them to go can be really heartbreaking.
That is why one woman was left shattered when a thief stole her memory card containing photos of their dog’s last day alive.
To get the photos back, the family put up a letter begging the thief to return the memory card.
The letter, which was posted on a lamppost, says that the thief can keep all of the other things they took. They just want to get the precious memories of their pooch back.
“To the man who was in my house and robbed me. Keep the cash, and my DSLR, and whatever else you took,” the letter reads.
“But if you have the memory card from the camera, please, it has photos of my dog’s last day alive on it.
“I cannot replace those photos. Please throw it onto the porch or put it in the mail slot. Or mail it.
“Please. She died a few days ago. I cannot lose those photos as well.”
People were touched by the woman’s gesture and have been sharing the post like wildfire, hoping it might reach the thief.
One Facebook user named Saoirse Morgan shared the photo and captioned her post: “Photo taken at Bloor and Lansdowne. This is simply heartbreaking. I hope this person does the right thing.”
Her post gained more than 27,000 shares, with many internet users offering messages of support.
Thief, if you happen to come across this letter, people are asking you to do the right thing.
