As for the people, they can’t believe that anyone would descend as low as stealing from people who are risking their lives to protect the innocent.

In addition, the thieves appeared to have planned it all too well as they targeted the station just before Christmas when it was most vulnerable due to firefighters spending their time with their families.

The robbery came just around the time Greta Thunberg, the young eco-warrior who speaks her mind without a second doubt, has slammed the Australian government for not taking political action on the on-going bushfire crisis.

As the 16-year-old activist said, the link between “climate crisis and increased extreme weather events and nature disasters” is still not established by the government despite the evidence at hand.

“Not even catastrophes like these seem to bring any political action. How is this possible?” Ms. Thunberg wrote in her Twitter post.

“Because we still fail to make the connection between the climate crisis and increased extreme weather events and nature disasters like the #AustraliaFires That’s what has to change. Now.”
