People were caught on camera by the thousands as they formed long lines outside a food bank in Texas to claim essential supplies including noodles, rice, and spaghetti sauce.
The desperate long line of cars took place at Fair Park in Dallas as the North Texas Food Bank organized free food distribution for the fourth time since the start of the pandemic that cost millions of people their jobs.

According to the reports, the bank managed to distribute food supplies to over 1,700 families, whereas some people allegedly drove from far away to get their share of free foods including dairy products, rice, noodles, canned goods, and more.

To help distribute some 10,000 boxes of essentials to thousands of people, more than 90 volunteers gathered at the food bank ahead of the Tuesday event.

The fourth free food distribution in the city took place shortly after the census in which nearly 30 million Americans alleged they didn’t have enough to eat at some point before July 21.
“If it wasn’t for this, we’d probably go hungry,” Richard Archer, one of the receivers of the support, said.
“With unemployment benefits cut, her husband’s been laid off for three months. So, it’s just been a struggle. If it wasn’t for church, and food giveaways, the kids would be going hungry.”
Meanwhile, Diana King admitted that “there’s little” in their fridge and that they have to get by with whatever they have.
“There’s times I open the refrigerator and there’s little there. We make do with what we have and we make it stretch,” she told CBS.
“It helps pay a bill, so the water doesn’t get turned off. The gas doesn’t get turned off. Mortgage? We are right there on the borderline.”
The event that saw families from different parts of Dallas and the state wait outside the foodbank took place after unemployment benefits were reduced from $600 to $400, in some cases $300.
