Three Democrats who fled from the state of Texas to enter Washington DC so they could block the GOP voting bill have now tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
The trio of Democrats who were amongst the group that fled to the state capital so they could avoid voting for the ongoing election integrity bill will now be isolating after catching the coronavirus, confirmed news outlets recently.
The three were amongst the large group of 60 Democrats from the Texas House who stayed in the state capital, as reported by the Democratic Caucus leadership recently. Surprisingly, all three of them were fully vaccinated.
Local media reports confirmed how one of the three Democrats found out the news about their positive results on Friday during the late hours of the night but claimed they did not have any symptoms. After the news broke out, all of the members of the House were notified of the status, forcing them all to get tested immediately.
Moreover, the caucus confirmed how two other members found out the news regarding their positive status on Saturday. Now, they are all being taken care of under isolation in their hotel rooms.
Just early on this week, lawmakers from the Democratic side fled to Washington DC because they felt it was an easy way out of the ongoing quorum voting process regarding a bill that was proposed by a Republican.
This bill was aimed to strengthen all requirements pertaining to voting ID for mail-in ballots. In the same way, the bill also banned drive-thru as well as overnight voting during the early hours of the morning.
After the bill went viral, the news was received with harsh criticism from plenty of conservatives whose voices could be heard from plenty of Twitter posts. Moreover, many of them joked about the matter with images of the lawmakers going viral as they traveled aboard an airplane without any masks to DC.
