A large tiger was caught on camera chasing two men who were driving a motorbike through a wildlife sanctuary in India.

In the shocking moment, the wild beast locked onto the motorbike riders before charging them at full speed.

The incident was caught on camera by the man who was riding the backseat of the motorbike while he and his co-worker were on a mission in Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary in India.

In the chilling footage posted on Facebook by India’s Forests and Wildlife Protection Society, the animal is seen sprinting towards the park rangers after emerging from the forest surrounding the main road.

After picking up speed and moving onto the street, the tiger approaches the riders by mere meters before jumping off to the other side of the pathway.

According to the Sanctuary authorities, the men in the footage were Forest Department rangers who were performing tiger sightings check-up in the park.

After the recording went viral, users applauded the driver of the motorbike for swerving the vehicle to the side of the road to avoid the tiger’s claws.

Others, however, simply praised the animal for its good looks and outstanding athletic abilities.
