Fans of the popular but controversial Netflix show Tiger King have something more to celebrate after the park has officially reopened for business and people have been seen queuing for hours trying to get in.

The Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park is all set to cash in on all the PR generated by Netflix and, no surprise, they seem to have rebranded the business as Tiger King Park.

The infamous roadside zoo was once owned by Joe Exotic / Maldonado-Passage who was eventually sent to jail. Because of the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions, the park had been closed to the public for the past few weeks.

But Oklahoma decided to ease its stay-at-home rules and that meant the park could re-open for business. Despite criticisms of animal cruelty, hundreds of people flocked to the park to see it for real.

Unfortunately, a lot of the park’s visitors were seen not wearing masks and even breaking social distancing guidelines, reported the Daily Mail. These guidelines were set in place in other parts of the world to help slow down the spread of the virus.

The threat of the virus couldn’t stop crowds of kids and adults from enjoying the performances of the park’s caged big cats.

If you’ve already seen Tiger King on Netflix, you must know that the park is not owned by Joe Exotic anymore and is instead being managed by his rival Jeff Lowe. Joe Exotic was sent to prison after he was caught plotting the demise of his other rival, animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

At the park’s re-opening, Lowe and his wife Lauren reportedly greeted guests. Erik Cowie and Allen Glover, the people Joe supposedly hired to kill Baskin, were also seen at the park.

Since the show’s airing on Netflix, Baskin has not done even a single broadcast interview. However, YouTube pranksters Josh Pieters and Archie Manners managed to trick Baskin into thinking she had been interviewed by Jimmy Fallon.

They used voice clips from Fallon’s previous celebrity interviews to make it seem he was asking Baskin questions but they made up some reason for Fallon not appearing on-screen.

After the pranksters uploaded the video, Baskin made a comment that appeared to show she had been on to their ploy all along.
