The Masters were postponed but this wasn’t going to stop Tiger Woods from having his own grand dinner, especially hosted for the champions.
He wore his green jacket for the dinner and announced to his social media on Tuesday. He said he was going to have his grand champion’s dinner anyway as he stays in his South Florida house amid the coronavirus.
The star player and 2019 tournament champion shared a picture on his Twitter.
In the picture, he was sitting on the dinner table in his Florida home, with his girlfriend Erica Herman, and his kids, daughter Sam and son Charlie.
He also had The Masters trophy right in the middle of the table.
In the caption, he wrote that there is no better master dinner than having one with the family in quarantine style.
Every single year on a Tuesday before the tournament, all the elite of golf come together and celebrate the season over a table filled with food and drinks.
The Masters Champions Dinner is considered to be a part of the folklore of the games. This sets the sport of golf apart from all.
The dinner is arranged and served by the defending Champion. The menu and the décor are entirely selected and managed by the host, the defending champion.
Last year in the tournament of Augusta, Woods secured an incredible victory. He had even prepared a menu for this year’s dinner.
He said that he was going to serve milkshakes, sushi, and fajitas. He said he was born and raised in soCal and so sushi, fajitas, and milkshakes were a major part of his childhood. He said that he was going back to 2006 with the incredible menu.
Woods is still going to get a chance to host the dinner which was supposed to help this week. The tournament has been postponed to November and so is the dinner.
