Whenever an athlete goes down with his performance, the sponsors are the first ones that abandon them and then the fans follow.
It looks like the majority of the companies do not know about the sportsman spirit and even if they do; all their concentration is in making a profit and not in making bonds.
Well, Nike has always been loyal to all the athletes it has joined hands with no matter what the athlete goes through or how horrible the performance gets.
If Nike has trust in the athlete they will not let them wave off from their sponsorship. And now, the same loyalty has paid them off with a great price.
Tiger Woods was on the top of his game of Golf once and since his first major victory as a golf player, Nike has been sponsoring him.
Although Nike was not the only sponsor baking him from the start as his performance went down, so did his sponsors. But Nike did not leave his side.
After 11 long years of his downtime, Woods finally won his 15th major victory and Nike is the one who has been awarded for its loyalty as well.
Woods was wearing a similar red Nike T-shirt the kind of he wore in his first ever match and the man hit his victory stroke.
Without wasting any time, within a few minutes, Nike launched its ad over social media celebrating Woods’s victory with the slogan “Nothing is impossible.”
According to an analysis, the win scored by Woods gave a huge profit of $22 million to the company.
The advertising company said it is not very unusual for Woods to generate this huge amount of profit for the company.
Even when he was in his low days, he was making more advertisement profit for the company as compared to several newbies in the game that do not even get noticed by the people.
