A 31-year-old Instagram influencer has accused video-sharing app TikTok of banning her posts because she was standing there with her curvy body.
Neyleen Ashley, who has 1.8 million followers on Instagram, has claimed TikTok has banned several posts of her just because of her curvy body.
Neyleen said: “I’ve had several posts banned. All because I was standing there with my curvy body.”
“There are girls doing the same dances I’m doing and they’re wearing bikinis, but me fully clothed I get banned.”
She said she makes her living through Instagram but TikTok helped her get back in touch with her inner true self as it allows her to be versatile.
Neyleen feels TikTok is more popular with younger people and a safe space as TikTok is extremely careful with bullying.
She claims her TikTok posts were banned for being too s*xual but she can’t help it.
She says she “can’t help that her body naturally takes her to that s*xy place”.
Neyleen says she gets a positive response on TikTok but some also troll her for her age.
People accuse her of trying too hard to be relevant.
She said: “They call me a ‘Karen’, and say I’m trying too hard to be relevant. Instagram is my main creative space.”
“And also where I make a living. But TikTok has helped me get back in touch with my inner true self.”
She said on Instagram, she relies on her looks and filters for validation but on TikTok, she can be versatile and true to herself.
Talking about her future projects, Neyleen said she has just signed a TikTok contract with a brand and she is very excited about it.
Neyleen has gained more than 250,000 followers within a short span of time on TikTok.
