There is a lot of content on the internet that can be triggering, disturbing or simply spread a lot of negativity and hatred.
Caught up in this influx of depressing content, it can get very difficult for people to find something happy online to escape into.
“The Mountains” is a short but very relaxing time-lapse video that was shot between the 4th and 11th of April 2011.

The video was captured on one of the highest peaks of Spain, El Teide that offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the valleys below.
El Teide is one of the best spots for photographers as it offers an unrestricted view of the Milky Way galaxy. The Teide observatory is also popular among astrologers, photographers and nature lovers who love gazing up at the stars on a clear night.
Time-lapse videos are usually captured over longer durations and then edited in a way that makes it look like one sequence.
This time-lapse video was shot in a couple of days and captures 5-hour sequences of the sky and the area during the day and night.
The photographer’s personal accounts state that it was an exhaustive and tiring process to wait for the right moment and set up the heavy equipment high up in the isolated mountains.
However, the fruits of that labor are so worth it as we have this absolute gem of a masterpiece that covers different locations from the area and combines them in a threat of a breathtaking sequence of time-lapse shots.
Viewers get to see the forests, the clouds, the mountains and the sky from every possible angle.
The soothing background score adds on to the overall effect and creates a calming experience that immediately fills on with a sense of awe and peace and contentment.
