Following his mischiefs, the accountant from Maidstone, Kent, has pleaded guilty to 18 fraud charges and got sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison.

According to the fraudster, he committed the despicable act because he was bullied by his bosses who left him with low self-esteem.

“He has had a very unhappy life. For most of his life he has been bullied,” James Ross, the man’s attorney, said during the trial.

“He has suffered from very low self-esteem and social awkwardness. He says he was a good employee and worked long hours and did good work.

“He says his bosses had shown them nothing but kindness. But other than the owners, there was at least one person who subjected him to ridicule and caused a downward spiral.”

As Mr. Ross added, the parties, drugs, and prostitutes served as an escape from the reality for the 38-year-old accountant.

“He was thinking the money would be paid back but it was deluded thinking that he was merely borrowing the money,” Ross continued.

Despite the judge recognizing the 38-year-old’s remorse, the accountant’s actions nearly brought the entire company to its knees.

“Because of what he did I could not pay two of my suppliers for two months. This caused a problem with HMRC and VAT returns were not paid on time,” Director Alfred Abdulla said, adding that the fraud left several employees without pay for five months.
