Actor Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson celebrated their wedding anniversary whereas the actress shared a sweet message with her husband of 32 years.
Sharing a photo of her and Hanks smiling in front of a snow-coated mountain on Instagram, Wilson paid a tribute to her husband by writing:
“32 years with this guy! @tomhanks Happy Anniversary, my love. Let’s go 32 more and then some!”
Responding to the 63-year-old’s post were hundreds of fans and celebrities who wished the couple a happy anniversary and many more years to come.
“Love you two. Happy happy,” actress Julia Roberts commented.
“Happy anniversary,” actress Julianne Moore added.
Singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton wrote: “You two are an inspiration Congratulations!!!”
Hanks and Wilson first met in 1981 when the Forrest Gump star was starring in the ABC sitcom Bosom Buddies in which Wilson appeared for one of the episodes.
The couple tied the knot in 1988 following one year after Hanks finalized his divorce with Samantha Lewes whom he has two children, Elizabeth and Colin, with.
After kicking off their marriage, Wilson and Hanks gave birth to and raised two kids of their own, Chet and Truman.
Previously, in March, both Tom and Rita were diagnosed with COVID-19 while in Australia.
“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” Tom Hanks wrote on Instagram at the time.
After undergoing quarantine at the hospital, the couple was happy to announce the good news that they’ve beaten the killer bug and revealed they were returning to their Los Angeles home where they were later also spotted.
