Laura, an HR administrator, said she joined Tinder to find her perfect match and even paid £7.99 a month for the ‘plus’ version.

However, when she tried to log in to her account, she found out she had been banned from Tinder for ‘activity which violates the terms of use’.

She told FEMAIL: “I thought I’d try online dating to see if I could find someone to date as my friends have been on there before and been successful.”

“When I joined I had a mixture of filtered and unfiltered pictures.”

She started getting messages saying she was a fake profile or a catfish that made her upset.

She said: “I received endless messages like this even when I was on Instagram which I do not have anymore.”

“I even received messages from verified people saying I can’t be a real profile and that I must be using a model’s photos.”

When she contacted Tinder to know why she was banned from Tinder, she didn’t hear from them.

She says she is annoyed as she wanted to find a perfect match and nowadays most people meet each other through these dating apps and social media only.

She also tried to make a new account but couldn’t. She wanted an explanation from tinder but got no reply from them.
