An unruly tourist was caught on camera screaming at a local seller and biting his hand in an attempt to save the caged chicken that he had been displaying on the street.
The incident occurred in Tangiers, Morocco, when an angry British holidaymaker confronted street sellers for keeping chickens in cages.
After sellers refused to let the chickens go, the woman launched a tirade of verbal abuse at them and accused them of being illiterate.
As if she was possessed, she then climbed on top of the cage and attempted to pull off the cover while shocked locals were trying to stop her.
After she bit the seller’s hand, the group managed to constrain the unruly tourist until the police arrived at the scene.
According to the reports, the authorities took the woman to the hospital where she was treated for ‘hysteria’ rather than taking her over to the police station.
In the video that went viral, the unidentified woman was heard shouting insults at the locals saying: “Are you all that uneducated? You can’t read, you can’t read, can you? You can’t read! Are you that thick, you dumb ****?”
Following the incident, people from around the world have slammed the woman and accused her of assaulting the locals and disrespecting their culture.
“Go push your cultural beliefs in your own country, stay away if you don’t like it,” someone wrote.
“Even if they let her free the chickens, what does she think will happen? They’ll just roam freely in the city?” another one suggested.
The third one wrote: “On behalf of the sane British public, I apologize for this simply atrocious behavior.”
