Despite our highly urbanized lifestyles or perhaps because of it, a lot of people hold a deep fascination for Mother Nature and the wild.
It’s probably an instinctive desire within our collective psyche to remember our roots as we surround ourselves with the ever-growing fields of our concrete jungle.

But there are everyday realities and not everyone can afford a trip to the middle of nowhere and sometimes it’s just not easy squeezing enough vacation time out of our busy schedules. In those cases, most people would just satisfy themselves with a trip to the park and that’s enough for them to say they’ve “reconnected” with Nature.
Still, for some people, Animal Planet and listening to Sir David Attenborough just don’t cut it and making an actual trip to the wild is in order.point 233 |
Of course, not all people are quite so adventurous as to actually put themselves in danger in the presence of wild animals so what they mean about visiting the wild is to visit a safari and look at the wild animals from the presumed safety of their tourist vehicle.point 217 | 1
We say “presumed” safety because when it comes to these wild animals, you never really know what they’re capable of, as in the case of this lioness who shocked a group of tourists by opening their car’s door by using her teeth. If anything, this is an object lesson to always keep your car’s doors locked.
Two sisters named Kaylene and Cindy were with their parents in South Africa and decided to visit a safari. It turns that they weren’t the only ones curious because a lioness who was lounging with her herd nearby suddenly got up and made her way to the car until she reached the door.
“Did you video that?” one of the girls could be heard asking. At this point, they were more curious than alarmed, secure in the fact that they had a door between them and the big cat outside. Until the big cat opened it.
At this point, the girls scream, slam the door shut, and shout, “Lock the door!”
“Oh my gosh, I didn’t know they could do that,” one of them said as the rest of the family laugh at their shock. Of course, they reminded their dad to make sure all the doors were locked just to be safe.
Even wild animals can learn a trick or two.
