Tragic Moment As Store Staff Member Orders Breastfeeding Mum To ‘Leave Immediately’


A mother is going viral after she explained her heartbreaking moment when a Matalan staff member ordered her to go back to a supermarket after she opted to breastfeed her hungry baby.

“You should go and breastfeed your child in Asda instead,” the rude staff member began to yell! But the mum claims that she wasn’t going to sit around and hear anyone criticize over a subject like that!

The incident took place in June where a mother by the name of Jasmine Suggit tried to feed her baby who was just 5 weeks old. But that just didn’t go down too well as the setting was a store with plenty of people around.

Moreover, the mum tries to explain the details of the event that left her speechless beyond belief. It was just something that she termed as emotional and not well versed by any means.

“All of the changing rooms were shut and for that reason, I requested a seat,” the mum said. On that note, the mum was blatantly denied any seat as the staff member yelled, “No not here!”

According to the young 26-year-old mum, this just wasn’t the right technique to employ. “One employee went about warning her how the toilets were all shut as well. And that left the mum with little to no options.

Forced out of the supermarket in Hull, the mum said that she simply felt so furious over the entire incident. The fact that breastfeeding wasn’t normalized in today’s modern-day and age was something that just didn’t sit right in her mind and heart.

Speaking candidly about the entire experience, the mum says that the reason she wants to highlight her issue is so others can take heed and raise awareness over issues like these. “I am on a bid to normalize breastfeeding in public,” the mum claims. And since then, her story is getting the attention it deserves.
