Tragic atrocity had occurred in Wigan, Greater Manchester, UK as infant daughter helplessly screamed ‘Mummy, I don’t want you to die’ while her 32-year-old mother Melissa Belshaw was brutally killed by stabbing.
The incident has also left a good willing third party Good Samaritan in a critical condition. The mother Melissa is remembered as being a ‘caring and lovely’ mother for the babe. Police had reported to the crime scene on 4.10pm Wednesday, and there has been an arrest of a man on the suspicion of committed charges against the dead mum and the injured intervener. Melissa was found on the scene barely alive, and had been pronounced dead at the scene shortly there after. The Samaritan remains in ICU.
Neighbour Chris Parr, 35, said her daughter ran outside for help following the incident. He told Sun Online: ‘It was heartbreaking hearing her cry for her mother. She was delirious and running about before the police got hold of her.’
‘She was lovely,’ Lisa Belshaw, the dead mum’s stepmother, told the press in a tearful statement, ‘She is going to be so sadly missed. I got a phone call saying a man had gone into her house and stabbed her. I had no idea she had died until I read it on Facebook.’
