The first trailer for Lifetime’s upcoming movie about Meghan and Prince Harry has been shared on the network’s Instagram page.
The short teaser shows actors Sydney Morton and Jordan Dean quitting their royal lives and playing out some dramatic conversations between Meghan and Harry.
Dean can also be seen expressing his fears that his on-screen partner is being ‘hounded to death.’
“I see you literally being hounded to death and I’m helpless to stop it,” the actor tells Morton, echoing the remarks made by the Duke of Sussex in his Apple TV+ series.
In the show, Harry said that his late mother, Princess Diana, was ‘chased to death’ and he was scared of ‘history repeating itself’ with his wife.
The 20-second teaser also shows Morton and Dean reenacting scenes from the couple’s Oprah interview, which aired in March.
Even though the network did not reveal much about the plot of the film, on-set photos have revealed that producers included the bombshell interview after Dean was spotted wearing the same style of attire that Harry wore when the Sussexes spoke with Oprah.
Morton was seen wearing a fake baby bump under a black dress with white flowers over one shoulder, similar to the dress that the Duchess of Sussex sported for the interview.
The short trailer suggests that the plot will focus on dramatized versions of Meghan and Harry’s conversations about stepping down from their royal duties.
At one point, the actress can be seen crying while being comforted by her co-star but she reassures him that she can handle all the challenges, saying: “I am the person who is strong and get things right.”
